Water Efficiency Stockists Register For Free

23/08/2010 | "2010 will be the year when water efficiency in the bathroom really takes off," says Yvonne Orgill, chief executive of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association. "Our members have been pushing hard over the last eighteen months to ensure that their portfolios are at the leading edge of water efficient bathroom design. They are now well placed for the expected rapid uptake of these eco friendly products. Now is the time for bathroom retailers to get involved and register with the scheme, for free, to show the public that they have the products and can offer advice and guidance on water efficiency in the bathroom." Growing Momentum There is a growing momentum behind the BMA's Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme. It has the full support of DEFRA and CLG (Department for Communities and Local Government) and major bathroom manufacturers, merchants, retailers and big DIY stores are getting behind the scheme. The label itself is appearing on products, packaging, and point of sale and with the launch of Building Regulations Part G in April and a promised rethink on the Water Regulations the stage is set for WEPLS to reach its critical mass and take off in a big way. Free Invitation Any business involved in the sale of eco friendly water saving bathroom products is now being invited to register with the scheme. A simple questionnaire, completed on line, is all that is required for their outlet to be shown in the WEPLS website database. Once approved, the retailer will receive the WEPLS Stockist window sticker and literature. More details are available at www.water-efficiencylabel.org.uk/
