This includes information you provide if you complete a registration form on behalf of a business and if you complete an application form or otherwise apply for a job here, either directly, or via a third party. We may also collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as media reports, in order to better understand the people who we interact with. We maintain a list of registered companies and brands showing publicly available information of registered company names, addresses, phone number, websites and email addresses where applicable. Photography may be taken at industry events that are administered by the Water Label and we will inform you in advance if and when these photographs will be published on our site. If you do not wish your photograph to be taken, we suggest you inform a member of The Water Label Company Limited staff prior to/at the event.We may combine information we receive from other sources with information you give to us for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

An important part of our work is communicating with registered companies, telling them about our activities and how we are supporting their interests, and seeking their views on current issues. Security and storage of your information

The Water Label Company Ltd will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. We hold all information on a database on secure data modules and a secure server, housed in a data centre. A backup of this information will be held on secure data modules. Paper copies of data will be held at the BMA and secured in locked cabinets and alarmed rooms. If it is necessary to transport data it will be kept secure. We will keep personal information about you no longer than is needed for us to carry out the functions described in this notice. For example:

Information that we collect relating to our events may be retained (such as attendance records) where it is in our legitimate interests to do so. (e.g. Promote following year's event unless opted out to receive information on events)

We will keep personal information held as part of our registered company recordsfor the duration of that organisation'sregistration. Once the registration is terminated, we will delete the majority of records and only retain the minimum information necessary to deal with any future issues.

We will keep the data connected to your job application (including any interview records) for 6 months from the date of their creation or receipt from you. If your application is successful and you become a member of staff we will provide you with a copy of the Employees handbook, which outlines the Water Label policies.

Your righs

You have the right to request from us access to your own information.
